Every time I am in the village, I stop in. The back patio overlooks the lake, so the view is gorgeous year round. The food and drink menus are generous without feeling overwhelming, and if you are looking for a recommendation, the staff will tailor recommendations based on your preferences after asking a few brief questions. Whether the place is packed to the gills or you have the bar to yourself, the level of attention to each patron is top notch. I hadn't visited in over a year, and had just moved back, yet the owner recognized me when I came back in even though I had gone in maybe once or twice a month before. The front shop area has gourmet goodies and a wide selection of wine at all price points. If you are looking for the best combination of an intimate tasting room, gourmet but unpretentious food, and top notch wine and beer at a fair and reasonable price, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to visit in southern California (yes, I am including Temecula).
